CREA, Centre de Réalisations et d'Études Artistiques à Nantes
Based in Nantes, the CRÉA is one of the organizers of the most dynamic concerts in the Pays de la Loire region. In order to provide the broadest possible access to music, the CRÉA has set into place innovative concepts that will renew how we think of the “classical” concert and open up new horizons to vast audiences.
It is particularly focused on the region: the CRÉA is the artistic director of the concerts held at Fontevraud Abbey (with which it has partnered to record albums), the Moments Musicaux de L’Hermitage (La Baule), the CMC (Concerts de Musique de Chambre, Nantes), the Concerts Spirituels (Nantes), and La Folle Journée.
Its activities also extend beyond the region’s borders though the Festival International de Piano at La Roque-d’Anthéron, concerts at La Grange de Meslay, the concert seasons at the Théâtre de Nîmes, at Orléans (Fortissimo), and abroad.
With René Martin as its director, the CRÉA has 10 salaried employees who contribute to the development of these events: programming (René Martin), logistics and production, administration, and the dramatic arts.
